It is most certainly applied to Barnabas (Acts 14:4,14).
It is most probably applied to James (Gal. 1:19) Silvanus, and Timothy (I Thess. 2:6).
It may be applied to Andronicus and Juni(us)(as)(a) (Rom 16:7)Several possible explanations and implications bouncing around in my head. But for now, I’ll just let the fact stand.

You forgot Apollos ;^) (1 Cor. 3:22; 1 Cor 4:9)
it is wise to concede where Scripture has us beat.
love you brother.
Name a modern-day apostle...
looking upward - I already did below - even gave his website.
Eric,
All right, I'll add Apollos to the "most probably" category.
Danny,
To concede is to have learned.
Brad, just want to add I appreciate your spirit, this discussion, and the fact that even though you are way smarter than me - you've given me a platform here ;^)
Blessings my brother!
Way smarter. Pshaw.
You're more than welcome to the platform- just as long as it doesn't turn into a 51 comment discussion about what I meant about what you said about what I meant about what some third person said ;)
I look forward to more, brother.
Indeed. So sorry.
I was just curious anyhow. Some circles of believers believe that there are no longer such a thing as 'apostles'.
Brad - yes, I had to intervene last night after church on my blog - I was rather grieved about the direction that thing went. I had a very unreasonable poster who wouldn't quit - so for the first time ever I had to ban a poster from my site. Hated to have to do that - but it was getting ridiculous!
Interesting conversation thus far, but I am curious when the debate will get to the topic of the "nature of baptism [of the Holy Spirit] as it may or may not occur now." Looking forward to jump into that conversation when it starts. Thanks
