Wish I could have been there. Hope it was fun.

I wish you could have too. However, if you had come, I wouldn't have gotten to be the tallest guy in the picture- a rare accomplishment for me. Next time we'll make sure you can be there.

It was a lot of fun. Saw some beautiful scenery. Got to see two mink and two osprey. You'd have loved it.

I think enough time has passed since my near-death experience that I would have been ready for another expedition with you guys.

I'm sure you all had a good time.

You would have been most welcome, brother, and always shall be.

We still tell your story to all the new guys, and this trip, we actually were able to point out the very spot of your near demise; we were, however, able to navigate it this time without mishap.

No accidents with deer, no canoes destroyed, no late night excursions to meet up with the local law enforcement agents- talk about an uneventful trip. Cool wildlife sightings though and I like the fact that you're standing on a hill to be the tallest in the picture.

It wasn't that big of a hill.

That's not the Stillwater River...

Brad said...

Indeed not. It's the beginning of the Mad River, up in West Liberty. We need some variety every now and then.

Brad....are you really the tallest or is Ryan C. standing in a hole?

Brad said...

I certainly am, but not by nearly as much as the picture makes it appear. Your dear son is standing lower on the riverbank than I.
